🧒🏽Kids Against Plastic👧🏼
We at Bubble Buddies believe that even the smallest ripple can start a wave, and that’s what Kids Against Plastic is doing.
Founded by sisters Amy and Ella Meek in 2016, KAP is a youth-led charity on a mission to teach young people (and grown-ups) about why plastic misuse is harming our planet, and how we can fight back.
KAP has three big goals: education (learning why plastic pollution and climate change matter), action (doing things to make a difference), and empowerment (giving children confidence that they can help change the world).
They run the KAP Club, where members take part in online games, challenges and weekly meetings - all about being Plastic Clever and Climate Clever. Schools join them too, adopting plastic-clever schemes, hosting litter picks and signing pledges.
At Bubble Buddies we love how KAP shows that caring is fun, creative and for everyone. That's why we want our Bubble Buddies to be not for tales only, but to remind us that even tiny actions matter: refusing a plastic straw, picking up litter, speaking out.
Here’s our promise: Bubble Buddies will keep making stories, art and adventures that help you learn and act. Like KAP, we believe that one person’s action today can become a wave of change tomorrow.
