A super-big whirlpool made of ocean currents that circle slowly.
Why it matters: Gyres move heat, nutrients, and sadly… rubbish, creating the “garbage patches.”
Fun Fact: The North Pacific Patch is bigger than France, Spain, and Germany combined!

GLACIER
A giant river of slow-moving ice that shapes mountains and feeds our oceans with fresh water.
Why it matters: When glaciers melt too fast, sea levels rise and ocean animals lose their balance of salt and temperature.
Fun Fact: Some glaciers are older than the pyramids, they hold air from the Ice Age!
